Michael also formally trained with Bart Anderson, a Spiritual Teacher, Zen Master, and Shaman from 1985 to 2007. He was trained in Spiritual teaching, meditation, Native American ceremony, rites of passage, Zen Buddhism, and Jungian symbolism. This training also guided him to address his emotional issues and raise his level of consciousness so he could be clear and empathetic in his work with clients.

Michael's 2013 book, Your Natural Gift: Offering the Essence of Your Heart is a tool to walk people through unfolding their natural gift. The Offering Your Natural Gift Weekend Workshop and Class Series are the experiential versions of this book. It allows participants to walk through identifying, unlocking, awakening, and offering their natural gift.

Michael currently lives in Bend, Oregon with his family. He is writing his second book, Natural Way of Being, which describes and provides skills for a more collaborative way of being and to unfold the life you would have for yourself.
